When I was in Copenhagen last summer I saw these ceramic bags by the Danish company Fabula. This picture doesn't really do the product justice, click to the Fabula website to see a slide show of the bags in use - holding flowers, knitting supplies, mail...it's much more impressive than just an empty sack sitting on a white table.

Fabula Ceramic Bags
