Niels and Sven
Nice concept from Dutch Studio Niels and Sven. Using a technique that casts cardboard forms into aluminum, the pair have made several items including seating and tableware. Though the products could be a little more creative, the idea has possibilities. (via pan-dan)

Drawn From Clay
Recent Eindhoven graduates Lonny van Ryswyck and Nadine Sterk embarked on a science project/craft exploration by studying the soils/clays of the Noordoostpolder region in the Netherlands. The results of their findings are part of the latest exhibit at Gallery Libby Sellers, 'Drawn From Clay - Noordoostpolder', which showcases the research and tableware pieces made by the duo.

James Patmore, a young British designer, came up with a clever idea for the man who wants to hide his grooming supplies; the 'Armadillo' dresser has wooden sliding panels which reveal small compartments. Also notable is his 'NaCl' light...molecular structures win my heart every time.
