While browsing through the many photos of London Design Week, I came across this amazing project by the British design firm B3. They constructed an entire Cardboard Cafe out of 8,000 boxes. Everything from tables and walls to seating and cups were made from cardboard and edged with orange paint for a nice visual effect.
Nice, simple chair and coffee table design by recent RCA graduate Mario Stadelmann. His 'Paperchair' and 'Superleggera' are both made from discarded newspapers.
This is probably more of a DIY project, but I am enjoying these furniture socks by the German design collective Taschide. They're like leg warmers for your table - hot 80's colors and all.
'Float' is series of utensils created by Korean designer Seongyong Lee. The empty ball allows the pieces to remain suspended in liquid - handy when doing your dishes and the silverware always sinks to the bottom.
Just discovered the work of Blu, an artist who created an amazing wall mural that has been turned into a moving, morphing, magical piece of film. Enjoy.
